How did we choose our topic?

Our group chose Kazimierz Piechowski because his story tied in well with breaking barriers. We were looking for a good story that had something to do with the Holocaust. As we were looking we came across a fascinating story, and that was Kazimierz Piechowski. 

How did we conduct our research?

We conducted our research by looking at online sources, scrolling through many websites trying to find the perfect topic about the holocaust. Once we did, we went through many articles about Kazimierz Piechowski and learned all about him. We also used many references for the NHD website maker and looked at the ins and outs of making a website that could portray this inspiring story.

Why did we choose our category and how did we create our project? 

We chose this category because it was something that interested all of us and was something we wanted to share with others. We also wanted to go in more depth about the Holocaust and what sort of things happened during that time. We went with the website format because we thought it was something not a lot of people try and it was one of the more challenging options.

How does our topic relate to the theme? 

Our topic relates to the theme because it mentally and physically broke barriers. It mentally broke barriers because Kazimierz was not going to let these soldiers kill his friend but, he had to stick up for them in a creative way because if he stuck up for him against the soldiers he would be killed, so they needed to have a better plan. It physically broke barriers when Kazimierz broke through the gates of the S.S. car to escape from the camp. ​​​​​​​
